PuppetPorcelain limbs and painted eyes A signature smile hiding pain inside Strings tied to joints with beautiful lies The little doll falls, crumbles, dies. The puppeteer let go, expecting her to stand; Each string was let loose, Each lie was unwound, But all cannot go as well as he planned. She fell to the ground, every part of her shaking; Painted eyes forming tears, Her mouth left agape, And everyone witnessed the fragile puppet breaking.
